Algae and the Sun
Just like Trees, Algae also needs the sun to grow. They need sunlight for photosynthesis and provide oxygen to underwater animals just like normal plants do in land. 75% or more of the oxygen in the planet’s atmosphere is actually produced by photosynthetic algae and cyanobacteria.Algae actually preceded plants in developing photosynthesis, the ability to turn sunlight into energy.
