Eyebrow Mites
All humans can act as hosts to eyebrow mites. It is thought that a large majority of the human population acts as hosts to these mites. These microscopic animals survive on a diet of dead skin cells and sebum, an oil excreted by hair follicles and other skin glands. This is an example of commensalism because they are benefitting from our dead skin cells and we are not being affected by this at all. We are being neither benefitted nor harmed.
